DOMAINE DE CROMEY, Burgundy, France
In the hearth of Burgundy, a magical experience
Domaine de Cromey is a restored seventeenth-century manor house surrounded by vineyards in the heart of Burgundy. More than a place to stay, it offers a deeply personal way to experience the region through its wines, food, landscape, history, and small independent producers.
Staying among the vines at Cromey gave me the opportunity to photograph the rhythm and lifestyle of Burgundy: intimate portraits of winemakers, historic cellars, vineyard landscapes, private tastings, and the everyday details of life in a wine country shaped by generations of craft.
This project was made possible by Dennis and Eleonore Sherman, who welcomed me to their château and introduced me to the winemakers with whom they have built longstanding relationships. Through their work importing Burgundy wines into the United States, they have created a rare connection between international wine lovers and small-production estates.
