ETTORE ORGANIC WINERY, Mendocino, California

Ettore Organic Winery is a certified organic estate in Hopland, in Mendocino County’s Sanel Valley. Its vineyards are farmed with the belief that organic agriculture can produce pure, expressive fruit and wines with a clear sense of place.

The project brings together Italian-born winemaker Ettore Biraghi and Sofia Rivier, an Argentine-born, Swiss-trained agronomist and winemaker. Their combined experience connects European wine traditions with the landscape, climate, and farming culture of Mendocino.

My work documents this relationship between people, vineyard, and wine: organic farming, estate-grown fruit, cellar work, and the visual character of a winery shaped by an international partnership and a low-intervention approach.
