PLATT VINEYARD, California

A coastal vineyard estate

Platt Vineyard is a coastal vineyard estate on the Sonoma Coast, hidden beyond a dense redwood grove and only a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. Planted in 2003 and 2004, the site has become known for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay shaped by a remarkably cool, maritime environment.

Ocean fog, intense coastal light, and the site’s long growing season allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, building concentration while preserving freshness and acidity. It is a landscape defined by contrasts: forest and vineyard, fog and sun, quietness and precision.

Over the past two years, I have photographed Platt Vineyard through every season. From the vineyard summit to the rows below, my work follows the changing light, climate, and human care that give this place its distinctive character.
