STAGS LEAP WINEGROWERS, Napa Valley

Grape growing in the Stags Leap District dates back to the mid-1800s, when the Silverado Trail was still a quiet horse path. Today, this celebrated Napa Valley appellation is internationally recognised for Cabernet Sauvignon of depth, structure, and elegance.

In 2022, the Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association created an unprecedented project: 2022 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon: A Collaboration. Each participating winery contributed a prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon lot, which was brought together by a master blending team of veteran Stags Leap District winemakers. 

I was commissioned to document this collective expression of place through photography and film, capturing the people, vineyards, winemaking, and final wine behind a rare Napa Valley collaboration.
